Estrella Gonzalez Hernandez

New Bedford – Estrella Gonzalez Hernandez, age 70, of New Bedford, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Alfredo Velez.

Estrella was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, to the late Juan Gonzalez Vidal and Bienvenida (Hernandez) Mendez. She had been a seamstress for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Alfredo; children, Sorines Perez and her husband Juan, Ricardo Velez and Jose Agosto; Providencia, Francisco, Luz, Maria, Laura, Rene and Israel, grandchildren, Alex J Bruno, Janiris Brono, Joneris Velez, Yorian Velez, Yaireliz Velez and Brianna Velez; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Estrella’s visiting hours and funeral service will be held at Perry Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 17, 2019. Her visiting hours will be held from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00A.M. and followed with a service to take place at 11:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
