Deolinda Cordeiro, age 94 of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side, after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of Benny, for fifty years, and widowed for 21 years.
Born in Dartmouth, she was daughter of Jose Mendes and Jesuina (Ferreira) Mendes, Deolinda was born and raised in Dartmouth. She retired from Riverbay Coat as a supervisor.
Deolinda is survived by her son, Paul, and her sister, Angelina; her grandchildren Sarah and Douglas; and her great-grandchild, Autumn; and many nieces and nephews.
An avid Red Sox fan and scrabble player, Deolinda, especially enjoyed Wheel Of Fortune as well as watching her family swimming in the backyard pool.
A private graveside service for the family will be held in September.
