Norma J. (Pinto) Sorell

Norma J. (Pinto) Sorell, age 68, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the beloved daughter of the late Manuel J. Pinto and Marie Anita (Leger) Pinto.

Norma was born in Acushnet and lived most of her life in New Bedford, MA. She loved spending time with family, bowling, cake decorating and antiquing.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen D. Sorell, a son, Jeffrey P. Arruda of New Bedford, a daughter, Jennifer (Arruda) Rogers of New Bedford, three grandchildren, Amanda Lazaro, Sadie Lazaro and Ryan Caldeira and two great grandchildren, Andrew and Dylan Farias.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 4th, 2019 from 12 - 3 PM at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St, New Bedford, MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society .
