Jose Manuel Botelho

New Bedford – Jose Manuel Botelho, age 68, of New Bedford passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Neli Maria (Linhares) Botelho.

Jose was born in Salga, St. Michael, Azores to Manuel Moniz and Alexandrina (Pacheco) Botelho. He had worked in maintenance for Days Inn.

Jose is survived by his children, Jose Botelho Jr., Maryan Botelho and Erica Botelho; grandchildren, Makaelah Saunders and Christian Botelho; brother, Martin Botelho; sister, Valmera Viera; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Armindo Botelho.

Jose’s funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:20 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Everyone wishing to attend is kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
