Robert Joseph Camillo

New Bedford– Robert Joseph Camillo, age 82, of Dartmouth passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Good Samaritan Medical Center with his family at his side. He was the son of the late Georgiana R. (Quintino) Sylvia and Joseph A. Camillo Jr.

Robert was born in Dartmouth, Ma, and lived in this area all his life. He was a Truck Driver, Blacksmith and later retired from the Steamship Authority. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Robert loved his family and enjoyed his friends, loved to travel, he also rode horses and motorcycles his entire life.

He is survived by his 2 daughters, Sherry Gail Rogers and her partner Joseph William Inscoe and Rhonda Lee Sylvia and her husband Robert; a grandson, Iric Robert Rogers; brother, Donald Camillo and a sister, Janice Costolo; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Roberts visiting hours will be held Thursday evening from 5 :00 –8 :00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. His funeral will be Friday January 4th beginning in the funeral home at 8:45 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church South Dartmouth at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery.
