Nathan R. Lizotte, 32, of Dartmouth, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018, after a courageous, lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis. He was the husband of Jocelyn (Carreiro) Lizotte.

During his life, Nate was especially proud of the years he spent as a commercial fisherman in New Bedford with his dad and brothers. He also worked as a cook in numerous area restaurants, including Fathoms in New Bedford; he was passionate about cooking and loved how much his customers enjoyed the specialties he prepared. Nate will be forever remembered as a devoted husband, a loving son, brother and uncle, and a loyal friend who always chose to put the needs of others before his own.

Survivors along with his wife include his mom and dad, Karen Lizotte Rebello and William Rebello; his father, Ray Harmdierks; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Lizotte; his brothers, Keith Opozda, Thomas Rebello and Michael Rebello; his in-laws Janice Bettencourt and Robert Carreiro, Robert Carreiro, Jr., Krysten Pacheco and Kevin Normore, and Jamie and Adam Perry; and his nieces and nephews, Ryan, Cali Rose, Aurora, Jayden, Aubrey, Kya and Kade.

Calling hours and a Celebration of Nate’s life will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford, MA.
