Steven Ferreira

New Bedford – Steven Ferreira, age 46, of New Bedford passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the son of the late Jose and Isabel (Costa) Ferreira.

Steven was born in New Bedford, MA and had worked in the fishing industry.

He is survived by his children, Katarina Motta, Tyler Motta, Felicia Motta and Michael Silvares; grandson, Kayson Rodrigues; longtime girlfriend, Dawn Motta; siblings, Maria Laranja, Ana Couto, Adriana Dunn , Lucy Ferreira, Grace Ferreira, John Ferreira, Joe Ferreira, Eddie Ferreira and Frank Ferreira; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also the brother of the late Fatima Ferreira and Gloria Ferreira and the uncle of the late Cliff Raposo and Bryan Tavares.

Steven’s visiting hours will be held Sunday evening from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. His funeral will be held in the funeral home on Monday morning, beginning at 9:00 A.M. followed by a service at 10:00A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
