Benvinda (Bento) Macedo

Fairhaven- Benvinda (Bento) Macedo died Saturday December 3, 2005 at Alden Court Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Joao D. Macedo. Survivors include a son Luis Macedo and his Wife Colleen of Hudson MA. 2 Grandsons Justin and Joshua Macedo, a Sister Augusta Camara of New Bedford, 3 sisters in Madeira, 1 Sister in Brazil, and 1 Brother in Venezuela, and several Nieces and Nephews.

Mrs. Macedo was born in Madeira Island, Portugal. She has lived in the New Bedford area since 1971. She was the daughter of the late Augusta (Rodrigues) and Manuel Rodrigues Bento. Mrs Macedo was a Volunteer at the Blessed Sacrament Feast and was a member of the Holy Rosary Society of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She also enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and spending time with her family.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday December 8, 2005 at 9 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 5-8 P.M., on Wednesday June 8, 2005 at Perry Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable or Donations to Allegiance Hospice and Palliative Care P.O.
