Joseph N. Braga

New Bedford – Joseph N. Braga, age 75 years old, formerly of Fairhaven, MA passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Eileen (Souza) Braga and son of the late Joseph N. and Mildred (Costa) Braga.

Joe was born in New Bedford, MA, was a graduate of N.B.H.S. and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was an Antique Dealer and owner of J & B Antiques for many years until his retirement. He was a lifelong member of the NB YMCA and of the Panthers Club. Joe was also an avid Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics fan.

He is survived by his sons, Scott Braga of Boston, John “J.C.” Braga and his wife, Sheri of Assonet and Joshua Braga of New Bedford; 2 siblings, Rose Marie Goodwin and John Braga both of New Bedford; 5 grandchildren, Gabrielle, Madison, Felicity, Matthew and Jennifer; a great-grandson, Aison; as well as a nephew and several nieces. He was also the father of the late Jeffrey L. Braga.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. His funeral service will be held Saturday morning in the funeral home, beginning at 9:30 A.M. with a service to be held at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
