New Bedford – Donald R. Bruneau was born in Fall River and lived in New Bedford for 57 years. He was the husband of Carol (Barros) Bruneau for 57 years and was the son of Armound and Violetta (LaBrie) Bruneau. He was a communicate of OLOG at St. James Church where Donald was an extraordinary Eucharistic Minister. He worked at J & J, Avon Corrugated Box Company and was the owner of Buds Flowers until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; one son, Michael and his wife, Racine of Rhode Island; four daughters, Debbie Silva and her husband Frank, Karen Rush and her companion, Ronnie Pacheco, Pauline Bruneau and her companion, Ed Testa and Tammy Rivet and her husband, Peter.
Donald had 8 grandchildren, Neil, Matthew and Jessica Silva, Kristen Rush and Courtney Tonetto, Jacob, Noah and Simon Rivet. He also had 3 great grandchildren, Olivia, Grayson and Aria; as well as one godchild. He also had one brother, Robert; one sister, Janice Maderosian; also his late sister, Claire Venancio.
He enjoyed being with his family, loved camping and sports. Thank you to the Hospice Care in Fairhaven.

Donald’s visiting hours will be held Monday evening from 6:00 -8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. His funeral service will be on Tuesday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at OLOG at St. James Church at 10:00A.M. Burial will immediately take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
