Hilda B. (Mello) Branco

Rhode Island– Hilda B. (Mello) Branco, age 84 of Rhode Island, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Greenville Healthcare and Rehab Center. She was the wife of the late Gilbert S. Branco and the daughter of the late Sylvester and Hortense Mello.

Hilda was born in New Bedford and had worked for St. Luke’s Hospital.

She is survived by her children, Steven Lunny and his wife, Patricia of New Bedford and Colleen Rodrigues and her husband, Anthony of Smithfield, Rhode Island; grandchildren, Sarah Gussis and her husband, Glenn, Zachary Lunny, Brian Rodrigues and his wife, Allison and Jennifer Rodrigues; great-granddaughters, Lylah and Chloe Gussis; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late, Frank, Edward and Sylvester Mello.

Her funeral arrangements are private.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that a donation be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Hilda’s name.
