Alzira "Elsie" Avila

Middleboro MA., Alzia “Elsie” Avila passed away October 13, 2005 at Oak Hill Nursing and Rehab. She was the wife of the late Joseph S. Avila. She was the mother of Judith Froias wife of Joseph Sullivan of Westport MA., Carleen Carrier wife of Thomas Carrier of Carver, MA. She was the grandmother of Joseph Froias, Joleen Froias, Corey and Bethany Carrier. She also has 4 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Julia McCarthy of New Bedford, MA., and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Avila was the daughter of the late Manuel and Elvira (Gracia) Farias. She was a stitcher at Cameo Curtains, and Colonial Textile before her retirement.

A funeral service will take place Monday October 17, 2005, at 9:00 AM at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Sunday October 16, 2005 from 5-8 P.M. Burial will take place at Rural Cemetery.
