Manuel P. Santos

New Bedford – Manuel P. Santos passéd away October 11, 2005 at home with his family at his side . He was the Husband of Ida (Mello) Santos of New Bedford, and Father of Hanna Santos and Brenda Howes and her husband David, of New Bedford 2 Grandaughters Kimberly Barrows and Nicole Howes and a Greatgrandaughter Ariana Holmes.

Mr. Santos was the son of the late Manuel P. and Maria Santos. Formerly employed as a truckdriver at Braley’s Creamery , R and V Trucking and Delkin Cleaners. He served in the U.S.Army during WW II and was in the battle of D day receiving a Purple Heart He was a Communicant of St John The Baptist Church and belonged to the Holy Ghost Society and the Holy Name Society of St. John the Baptist Church, Mt. Carmel Srs. Local 59, Freetown VFW, American Portuguese War Veterans and the Loyal Order of Moose

a Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday October 15th in St John the Baptist Church at 9:00 A.M. Visiting hours will be /Friday October 14, 2005 from 4 to 7 P.M. at The Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St.
