Venilde Reis

Newport – Venilde (Sousa) Reis, age 80 of Newport, RI, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Humberto Dos Reis and was the daughter of the late Maria de Gloria (Almeida) and Jose de Sousa Farias.

She was born in St. Michael, Azores and moved here 67 years ago. She was the Proprietor of The Firehouse Pizza Restaurant.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Edmundo Reis and Rui Reis; daughter, Maria Reis; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late, Joana Tavares.
