Survivors include; a Daughter Maura Soares of So.Dartmouth, 3 Sons Sergio Soares, Paulo Soares, and Gary Soares all of New Bedford and a Daughter Elisabete Soares of New Bedford, 2 Grandaughters Selena and Alexandra Soares 3 Brothers Jose, Antonio, and Arnaldo all of St. Michael, Azores and 2 Sisters Maria Soares of St. Michael and Luisa Soares of Victoria, Canada

Mr. Soares was born in St.Michael the Azores and came to this area in 1980. He was a Son of the late Jose Soares and Maria ( Tavares ) daSilva . Mr. Soares was a Union Laborer at CECO

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday September 28, 2005 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will take place in St.Johns Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 6 to 9 P.M., on Tuesday September 27, 2005 at the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St.
