Manuel Silveira

New Bedford Manuel Silveira aged 74 years, passed away September 10, 2005, at home surrounded by his love ones. He was the husband of Gloriana (Amaral) Silveira of New Bedford, MA. He was the father of Fatima Calitri and her husband Joseph of Mendon, MA., Manuela Thomas and her husband Robert of Dexter, ME., Peter Silveira and his wife Lorraine of Dallas, TX., Manuel Silveira of West Palm Beach, FL., Sue Saltsman and her husband Jay of Joppa Towne, MD., Teresa E. Silveira of Leomister, MA., and Thomas Silveira and his wife Irene of Lakeworth, FL. He was the brother of the late Iris DeMelo. He also had 1 Niece, 3 Nephews, 13 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren

Mr. Silveira was born in Aqua Torta, Portugal. He lived in this area, as well as Lawrence, and Falmouth, MA. He was the Son of the late Manuel Pimental Silveira, and Maria (do Lourdes) Silveira. Mr. Silveira was a cook at various restaurants. He also was a former member of the Knights of Columbus of Falmouth, MA.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated.. Visiting hours will be from 5 to 8 P.M., on Monday at the Perry Funeral Home.
