Sylvia Proctor

New Bedford – Sylvia (Teixeira) Proctor, age 72 of New Bedford, passed away, on Monday, February 13, 2017 at Hathaway Manor. She was the loving daughter of the late Viola (M.) Santos and Frank Teixeira.

Sylvia was born in New Bedford, MA, and was a former Deli Manager at Stop & Shop until her retirement. She enjoyed camping, dancing and also loved watching the Patriots football games.

Her family includes: daughter, Kelly Rapoza; daughter, Lisa Proctor; grandson, Nathan Rapoza and his companion Sonia Soares; great-grandchildren, Dominic Rapoza, Alexis Proctor, Philip Proctor and Joseph Proctor; sisters, Gale Constant of New Bedford, Cathy Lambert of Rochester, Juanita Ridings of Alexandria, KY, Michelle Vieira of Dartmouth and Mona Correia of New Bedford; sister-in-law, Jackie Teixeira as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late, Albert “Sonny” Teixeira.

Calling hours will take place Sunday February 26th from 2 – 4 P.M. A memorial service will take during calling hours . Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, MA.
