Oscar D. Santos

New Bedford – Oscar D. Santos, age 87 of New Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Royal Taber Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Silvina (Codeiro) Santos.

Born in St. Michael , Azores he moved to this country and worked as a white frames operator at local textile mills until his retirement.
His family includes 1 son: Tiberio “Ted” Santos of New Bedford; 1 Brother: Manuel Santos of Dartmouth, 5 grandchildren by several nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Michael Santos and the brother of the late Edmund Santos and James Santos.

His funeral will be Friday in the funeral home with a service at 12:00 P.M. Burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday morning prior to the service from 10:30 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, Ma 02740.
