William Fernandes

William Fernandes Aged 77 yrs. Passed away August 13, 2005 in Marion. He was the husband of the late Bertha (Bramwell) Fernandes.

Mr Fernandes was born in New Bedford a son of John and Jesuina (Furtado) Fernandes. He was in the U.S.Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict and after his discharge worked in the Laundry Room at St. Lukes Hospital..

Mr. Fernandes was the Father of William Roy Fernandes of Acushnet and the Brother of John Fernandes of Birmingham, Alabama , Joyce Candela of Almira, Michigan and the late Paul and Robert Fernandes. He also had a very special caregiver Lorraine LaPointe of Acushnet and also survived by several Nieces, Nephews and Aunts Mr. Fernandes was known as “Poppa Bill” to his extended Family.

Mr. Fernandes Funeral Service will be Wednesday August 17, 2005 at 11 AM and His visiting hours will be Tuesday August 16, 2005 from 6 to 9 PM at the Perry Funeral Home
