Joao De Melo

New Bedford – Joao De Melo, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the loving son of the late Manuel T. Melo and Rosa M. (Apolinario) Melo.

Mr. De Melo was born in St. Michael, Azores and after moving to the U.S. he worked as a Drywall Installer and Finish Taper until his retirement.
He is survived by 1 daughter; Sandra De Melo of New Bedford; Grandson, Chase De Melo; 3 Brothers; Antonio De Melo of Canada, Carlos De Melo of Dartmouth, Jose De Melo of New Bedford as well as several nieces and nephews.

His visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Cremation to follow. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, Ma 02740.
