Faith M. Almeida

New Bedford – Faith M. Almeida, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Frederick Almeida and the daughter of the late Albert Parent and Mary (Arruda) Rands.

Mrs. Almeida was a lifelong resident of this area and was well known as the proprietor of several local bar establishments.

She is survived by a son, Frederick Almeida II of Dartmouth, 6 grandchildren: Chelsey Xifaras, Danielle Almeida, Brandy Patterson-Monteiro, James Patterson, Tara Santos and Sean Patterson; 2 great grandchildren: Trinity and Justin; 3 brothers Albert Parent, Vaughn Arruda and David Arruda and his wife, Phillina . Mrs. Almeida was predeceased by her sister, Dolly Parent.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 12:00 P.M. in Rural Cemetery. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, MA 02740.
