Joaquim A. Morgado

New Bedford – Joaquim A. Morgado, age 63, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016 at home with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of Diane (DeTerra) Morgado and son of the late Maria (Silva) and Joseph Morgado.

A lifelong resident of this area, Mr. Morgado was a Fish Cutter for 25 years and, later, worked in Construction.

His surviving family includes his wife Diane Morgado of New Bedford, children: Adam Troy Morgado, Scott J. Morgado and Renee Morgado, all of New Bedford; grandchildren: Kayla, Sarah, Tatyana, Noah and Scott; great grandchild, Jesse; siblings: Victor Morgado of New Bedford, Mary Dexter of Florida, Joseph Morgado of New Bedford, Alice Medeiros of Florida, Beatrice Arruda of Marion, the late Daniel Morgado and Edmund Morgado of New Bedford; as well as his son in-law, Justin DeFreitas, daughter in-law, Melody Morgado and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Morgado will be cremated and services will be omitted. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
