John Oliveria

Fall River – John Oliveria of Dartmouth, age 68, died on Wednesday, September 28, 2016. Mr. Oliveria was the husband of Janice (Morency) Oliveria of Dartmouth, and the son of the late Amelia (Pimental) and John Bagagna Oliveria.

John was born in New Bedford, Ma and lived in this area all his life. He earned an Associate’s Degree in Architectural Engineering from the Franklin Institute. John was the building inspector for both Fairhaven and Dartmouth. He worked in Construction as a Superintendent and, along with his wife, opened Trader Jan’s Archery Pro Shop in Fall River. John also enjoyed making wooden toys.

Mr. Oliveria was survived by his wife, Janice Oliveria of Dartmouth; daughter, Jill Oliveria of Dartmouth, sister, Beverly Wheeler of Dartmouth, 2 nephews, Kenneth and John Wheeler.

Mr. Oliveria’s funeral will be Wednesday beginning in the funeral home at 8:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5 – 8 P.M. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
