Wilbur Soares Cordeiro

Swansea – Wilbur Soares Cordeiro, age 81 of New Bedford, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Country Gardens Nursing Home in Swansea. He was the loving husband of the Jean F. (Cournoyer) and the beloved son of the late Manuel Soares and Izaura (Lima) Cordeiro.
A lifelong resident of this area, Wilbur worked as a Calender Operator for Goodyear Tire and Rubber company for many years until his retirement.
He is survived by her 1 son: Mark wayne Cordeiro and his wife Donna Marie; 1 grandson: Nathan Wayne Cordeiro.
A memorial service will take place in the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
