Edward John Joseph

New Bedford – Edward John Joseph, age 95, passed away on Thursday August 25, 2016 at his home in New Bedford. He was the loving husband of the late Barbara Louise (Pina) Joseph and the son of the late John and Carlotta (Francisco) Joseph.

Born in Taunton, Mr. Joseph worked for many years as the Chief Engineer for Texaco Oil Co. until his retirement.

Prior to his employment, Sgt. Edward John Joseph proudly served our country in the United States Army during WWII.

He is survived by his 2 children: Cheryl Gomes and her husband, Andre of Sandwich, MA and Jeffrey A. Joseph of New Bedford; 2 grandchildren: Bethany R. Gomes and Nicole M. Gomes, both of Sandwich; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by many siblings.

Mr. Joseph was cremated and burial of his cremains were private. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, Ma 02740.
