Laura S. Da Rocha

NEW BEDFORD — Laura S. Da Rocha, age 56 of New Bedford, passed away on Saturday, July 16 2016. She was the loving wife of Isaque Almeida Da Rocha and the beloved daughter of the late Manuel S. and Maria Alice (Felix) Sousa.

Laura was born in New Bedford, lived most of her life here and worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide.

She is survived by her husband, Isaque Almeida Da Rocha of New Bedford; 2 daughters: Michelle Sousa and Nadyne Nascimento, both of New Bedford; 5 siblings: Maria Cabral and Zelia Machado, both of Portugal, Arminda Machado, Joao Silveira and Joseph Sousa, all of New Bedford; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Laura was predeceased by her sister, Lucia Ficher.

Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. with a Service to begin at 12:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
