New Bedford – Diozinda O. Mano, age 83 of Dartmouth, passed away on June 24, 2016 at The Oaks. She was the loving wife of the late Arnaldo F. Mano and the daughter of the late Jose M. and Maria deNazare (deOliveira) daSilva.
Mrs. Mano was born in Claras, Portugal and, after moving to this country, worked as a Seamstress but more importantly, was dedicated to the upbringing of her loving family who described her as the greatest mother, grandmother and friend anyone could ask for. She was a devoted Christian and was an active member of the Pentecostal Assembly.
She is survived by two daughters: Rosemary Mano Resendes and her husband, Humberto, and Alexandra Mano Silva, all of Dartmouth; four grandchildren: Jacqueline, Nicholas, Christopher and Rachel; four great grandchildren: Natalie, Zara, Braylon and Rylan; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 6 siblings.
Her funeral will be Tuesday beginning in the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. with a service to begin at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5 – 7 P.M. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the Mission Program of Assemblia Pentecostal Church, 215 Sawyer St. New Bedford, Ma 02746.
