Edward Francis Britto

New Bedford – Edward Francis Britto., age 55 years, passed away on Saturday June 18, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the son of the late Claire Nadine (Hillman) and Francis P. Britto and was born and raised in New Bedford. Edward worked as a Machine Operator at Rodney Metals and Revere Copper. He loved his sports playing High School Football, Baseball and also ran Track at Greater New Bedford Voke Tech, His favorite teams to watch on TV was the Redskins and the Yankees.
Survivors include his siblings: Jacqueline Toles and her husband Roscoe of O’Fallon, Illinois, Geraldine Shulterbrandt and her husband Theodore of New Bedford, Everett Britto of N. Carolina, Jonathan Britto of New Bedford, Jeffrey Britto and his wife Tracey of N. Carolina, Kathryn Adams of New Bedford, Jennifer Britto of New Bern, N. Carolina, Jessica Britto and her Companion Gregory Ferland of Fall River, Melanie Marcotte and her husband Roger of Dartmouth, Francesca Bergantim and her husband Luis of New Bedford. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and aunts, and uncles.
In accordance with the families wishes he was cremated and a celebration of his life will be celebrated at the Perry Funeral Home on Thursday, July 7th from 5 to 7 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
