Steven Arthur Dobem

New Bedford – Steven Arthur DoBem, age 38, passed away, unexpectedly, on Friday May 6, 2016 at his home. He was the son of Deolinda M. (daCosta) DoBem and the late Artur F. DoBem.

Steve was a lifetime resident of this area and worked as the General Manager at Taco Bell for 16 years. He also was employed as an investment representative in the Insurance industry. He loved football and fishing but most of all, spending time with his children made him the happiest.

He is survived by his mother, Deolinda M. DoBem, of New Bedford, 2 children: Taylor Jean DoBem and Austin Steven Dobem; 1 brother, Jason Michael DoBem; former wife and mother of his children, Tracie (Houde) DoBem; Godchild, Briana DoBem; as well as several cousins.

His funeral will be Friday beginning in the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday evening from 6 – 8 P.M. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
