Barbara Rita Freitas

New Bedford – Barbara Rita Freitas, age 82 of Tiverton Rhode Island, formerly of New Bedford, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at St. Annes Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph Freitas Jr. and daughter of the late Alice and Joseph Ramshead.

Born in New Bedford, MA. Mrs. Freitas worked as an stitcher at Eastern Sportswear and she also worked at Building 19.

Her family includes 2 children: Catherine Rodrigues and Robert Freitas, grandchildren Jen Santes, Devin Rodrigues, and Erin Rodrigues as well as 4 great grandchildren
