Maria Verrette

NEW BEDFORD – Maria Verrette, age 66 of Dartmouth, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Southeast Mass Health and Rehab Center. She was the loving wife of Ronald R. Verrette and the daughter of the late Manuel de Jesus and Maria (da Costa) Salvador.

Maria was born in St. Michael, Azores and, after moving to this country, worked for Acushnet Company for many years until her retirement.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald R. Verrette of Dartmouth; a daughter, Michelle Verrette of Dartmouth; siblings: Manuel Salvador of Fall River, Edmund “Sal” Salvador of Dartmouth and Mina Salvador of Hope, RI; as well as 3 nieces, 1 nephew, 1 step niece and 2 great nieces.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Jose Salvador and Ronald Salvador.

Her funeral will be Saturday beginning in the funeral home at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church in Dartmouth at 10:00 A.M. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 – 8 P.M.
