Maria Do Carmo (Carvalho) Salvador

New Bedford - Maria do Carmo (Carvalho) Salvador, age 84, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016 unexpectedly at Rhode Island Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Justino Salvador. Born in Amoreiras, Bretanha, São Miguel, Açores.
She was the daughter of the late Jose V. and Irene (Pereira) Carvalho.
She worked at Cliftex until her retirement. She loved to cook but most of all spend time with her family.
She is survived by four children; Olga Reale and her husband, Michael of Acushnet, Jose Salvador of New Bedford, Maria Aubut and her husband Fred of New Bedford, Paulo Salvador and his wife Sharlene of Acushnet. Was the grandmother of Stephanie Thornton, Michael and Christopher Reale, Kendra, Paulo, Jr., Savannah, Justin and Jose M. Salvador, Lauren Prescott, Nicholas Aubut and the late Iris Salvador; sisters, Gilda Araujo of Fall River, Maria Helena Cabral of New Bedford, Hilda daSilva of New Bedford and Terry Segalla of Dartmouth, brothers; Jose Carvalho of Fall River, Angelo Carvalho of New Bedford and the late Manuel Carvalho.
Her funeral will be Thursday beginning in the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
