Carlene J. (Lanthier) Souza

New Bedford – Carlene J. (Lanthier) Souza, age 82 of Fairhaven, passed away on Friday, April 8 2016 at Kindred Nursing and Rehab – Hallmark. She was the loving wife of the late William J. Souza and the daughter of the late George and Arlene B. Mello.
Born in St. Johnsbury, VT, Mrs. Souza worked as an office manager in the banking industry, as well as the medical field working for Dr. Ciminello and Dr. Davis for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
Her family includes 2 children: Robert M. Souza and his wife, Deborah of Freetown and Cheryl A. Souza and her fiancé, Nathan Pike of Fairhaven; 2 grandchildren: Aaron Souza of Freetown and Erica Souza of Los Angeles, Ca; siblings, Julia LaPlante and George Mello; her beloved dog, Ms. Lily; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Souza will be cremated. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Fairhaven on Saturday, April 23 at 9:00 A.M. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be private and at a later date.in lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to St Mary's Church, 41 Harding Road, Fairhaven, MA 02719.
