Katherine Vera

Ocala, FL – Katherine Vera, age 98 of Ocala, FL formerly of Dartmouth, passed away on Friday April 1, 2016 at Rehabilitation Health Care Center of Cape Coral, FL. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph Vera and the daughter of the late Adeline (Rodrigues) and Joseph Peter Santos.
Born in New Bedford she was a homemaker for most of her life. Katherine moved to Florida later in life to live with her daughter Marilyn.
Her family includes 3 children Virginia Vera, Marilyn Vera and the late Donald Vera, 4 siblings; Mary Martin, Jessie Santos, Joseph Santos Jr. and Edward Santos; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be Monday, April 11, 2016, beginning in the funeral home at 8:30 A.M. with visitation till 10:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. George’s Church in Westport at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
