Norma A. Charpentier

New Bedford – Norma A. Charpentier, age 79 of New Bedford, passed away on Tuesday March 1, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Richard N. Charpentier and the daughter of the late Eduardo and Mary (Amaral) Freitas.
Mrs. Charpentier, lived most of her life in the New Bedford area. She worked for many years in the New Bedford Mills and was a homemaker to her family who she loved immensely.
Her family includes her 4 children: Deborah Westgate, Richard Charpentier, Brian Charpentier and Ramona Charpentier all of New Bedford; 3 siblings: Claire Pickering, Eddie Freitas and Ricardo Freitas all of Dartmouth,as well as 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also leaves behind her beloved cat, Zoey. She was predeceased by several siblings.
In accordance with her wishes she was cremated. Visiting hours with her ashes present will take place on Saturday March 12 from 3-5 P.M.at the Funeral Home, relatives and friends are invited Arrangements were placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, Ma 02740.
