Jade B. Pontes

New Bedford – Jade B. Pontes, age 27 of New Bedford, passed away, unexpectedly, on February 19, 2016. A lifelong resident of this area, she was the loving daughter of Theresa R. Pontes and Hilario F. Barros.
Her family includes daughter: Niya Rose Pho, siblings Justin B. Pontes, Karrisa Barros, Jasmine Barros, Elton Bettencourt and Jason Barros; 2 aunts, Rose and Anna, 3 uncles: Paul, David and his wife, Rebecca Pontes, and Joseph: 3 special cousins: Maureen, Marie and Breanne; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jade loved music, loved to sing and dance, and most of all, loved her family and friends. She was a kind and loving soul who saw the good in everyone.
Jade worked as a Personal Care Attendant for many years and loved the special bond she had with her clients.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday in the funeral home from 5 – 8 P.M. Her funeral will begin in the funeral home on Thursday at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Church on Thursday at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, MA.
