Severino Deoliveira

New Bedford – Severino DeOliveira , age 84, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at St Lukes Hospital. He was the loving husband of Maria J. (Silva) DeOliveira of New Bedford and the son of the late Maria Virginia (Souza) and Domingos DeOliveira.
Mr. DeOliveira was born in Matozinhos, Portugal and has lived in the New Bedford area for the past 60 years. Severino worked as a machine operator at AFC Cable Systems and was also a fisherman until his retirement. Severino had a passion for birds especially Canaries.
His family includes his wife Maria, children: Isabelle Soares, Severino DeOliveira Jr. and Christina Evans, 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and a sister Ana Costa.
His visiting hours will be Tuesday from 9 A.M. – 12 noon with a service to be conducted in the funeral home at 11:30 A.M. by Pastor Moniz. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
