Francisco Rosa

New Bedford – Francisco Rosa, age 99 of Fairhaven, passed away on Sunday February 7, 2016 at Brandon Woods of New Bedford. He was the loving husband of the late Maria L. (Soares) Rosa and the son of the late Antonio and Mariana Rosa.

Born in Pico, Azores, Francisco came to this country in 1969 and worked for Chamberlain Manufacturing for many years until his retirement.

His family includes 4 children: Antonio Machado of New Bedford, Noelia Maiato of Florida, Fernanda Pereira of California and Ester Silva of New Bedford, as well as 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Rosa was predeceased by several siblings.

His funeral will be Thursday beginning in the funeral home at 10:30 A.M. with a Service to begin at 11:30 A.M. Burial will follow in Rural cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday evening from 5 – 8 P.M. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, MA.
