Rosa Teixeira

New Bedford-Rosa (Silva) Teixeira died June 17, 2005 at Blaire House, after a long illness. She was the mother of Amadeu Teixeira Rodrigues, of New Bedford, Grandmother of Amadeu T. Rodrigues of Pawtucket, R.I., and Clifford D. Rodrigues of New Bedford. She was the Great-grand mother of Tyzon, Clifford Jr., Jason, and Xavier Rodrigues. She was the Step-mother of Eugenia Gomes of Malden, MA. Jovina Baptista, Laura Rodrigues, Eugenia Rodrigues, Julia Rodrigues, Vasco Rodrigues, Antonio Rodrigues, and Henrique Rodrigues all of Pawtucket, R.I., Alberto Rodrigues, Jose Baptista, Benvinda Costa, and Elizabeth Teixeira all of Brava, Cape Verde Island. She was the sister of the late Isabel T. Oliveira, Tony Sylvia, and John Teixeira. She is also survived by several nieces, and nephews.

Mrs. Teixeira was the daughter of the late Eduardo and Maria (Teixeira) Silva, She was born in Brava, Cape Verde Island.

Mrs. Teixeira’s funeral will be Monday, June 20, 2005, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8:30 A.M. with a Funeral Services at 10 A.M. at International Church of the Nazarene 284 Pleasant St. New Bedford, MA. Visiting hours will be Sunday, June 19, 2005 from 5 – 8 P.M. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery.
