Evelyn Mello

New Bedford – Evelyn Mello, age 88, passed away on Friday December 18, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Mello, Jr. and the daughter of the late Mary (Lima) and Joseph Frates.

Mrs. Mello was a lifelong resident of this area and dedicated her life to the upbringing of her family.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Mello, Jr. of New Bedford; a son, Ronald Mello and his wife Margarida of Dartmouth; 5 grandchildren: Christopher Mello, Jennie Mello, Patricia Mendonca, Monique Hines and Jarrod Hines; as well as 5 great grandchildren, Danny, Michael, Sofia, Riley and Matthew.
