Emily (Santos) Silva

New Bedford – Emily (Santos) Silva, aged 95 years, of New Bedford,MA., died Friday, June 3, 2005, at Sacred Heart Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Gilbert Silva and the mother of Richard Paim of California, Albert H. Paim of Acuahnet, Dorothy McGehee of New Bedford and the late Donald Paim . She is survived by 15 grandchildren and many Great and Greatgreat Grandchildren.

Mrs. Silva was born in St.Michael, Azores; the daughter of the late Manuel and Isabel (Cordeiro) Santos. She worked as a trimmer at Local Textile Mills.

Her funeral will be Monday June 6, 2005, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M. with a Funeral Mass at 9 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rivet St. New Bedford, MA. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday June 5, 2005 from 5 to 8 P.M.
