Esther (Lima) Sylvia

Somerville, N.J. – Esther (Lima) Sylvia, died Friday, April 29, 2005 at Somerset Medical Center. She was the widow of Joseph P. Sylvia. Mrs. Sylvia was the mother of Marilyn Schroth, wife of William Schroth of Bridgewater, N.J..

Mrs. Sylvia was the daughter of the late Manuel and Rose Lima. She was born in Sao Miguel, Azores and lived in this area all of her life before moving to New Jersey in 1988. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Mrs. Sylvia was a cafeteria supervisor with the New Bedford Public School System

Mrs. Sylvia’s funeral will be Wednesday, May 4, 2005, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M. with a Funeral Mass at 9 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, on Rivet St., New Bedford, MA. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, May 3, 2005 from 7 – 9 P.M. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery.
