New Bedford – Madeleine (Choquette) Langlois, age 60 of East Freetown, passed away on Saturday July 11, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Richard “Tiger” Langlois and the daughter of the late Ann Marie (LeClair) and Leo Choquette.
Maggie was a loving, caring, generous person. She touched the hearts of everyone she met. Some of her favorite things were taking trips to Foxwoods and Newport Grand. One of the most special places she loved to visit was Walt Disney World where she could feel like she was a kid all over again regardless of her age. She loved holidays and the special times they created but her favorite was Halloween. Most of all Maggie loved her family it was her reason for living each and every day.
Her surviving family includes her husband, Richard “Tiger” Langlois, of East Freetown; 4 children: Heidi Choquette Gonsalves and her husband Michael of New Bedford, Ian Langlois and his wife Kate also of New Bedford, Lindy Langlois and her companion Brandon Frazer of Fall River and Barbara Chace of East Freetown; 5 grandchildren: Madison Auger, Mason Langlois, Luke Langlois, Seth Gonsalves, and Paige Morris; 3 siblings: Paul Choquette and his wife Barbara of Mattapoisett, Leo Choquette and his wife Susan of Dartmouth, and Roger Choquette and his wife Elizabeth of Fairhaven. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In accordance with her wishes Maggie was cremated. A memorial service with her ashes present will take place in the funeral home on Saturday July 25 from 2-5 P.M. with a prayer service to begin at 3:30 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, MA.
