Jose Eduardo Soares

Ponta del Gada, Sao Miguel, Azores- Jose Eduardo Soares died April 13, 2005 unexpectedly. He was also known as “Eddie Spaghetti”. He was the Husband of Deborah (Pacheco) Soares of New Bedford. He was the father of Jason and his wife Carol Soares, Michael Soares both of New Bedford, Jennifer Soares of Dartmouth. He was the grandfather Kyle, Abbie, and Madisyn Soares. He was the brother of Maria Schultz and her husband Wilson of Palm Coast, FL., Christina Brennan and her husband Joseph of New Bedford, and a sister-in-law Donna Sylvia. He was the Uncle of Kelly Pacheco, Jodi Medeiros, Kristie Sylvia, Jay Pacheco, Stephanie and Jessica Brennan. He was Great Uncle of Kaitlyn, Jena, Chasiti, Sabrina, Adam, Dean, and Ethan.

He was born in Sao Miguel Azores. He was the son of Jose Furtado Soares of Palm Coast, FL. And the late Rosalina (Rebello) Soares.

Mr. Soares was a commercial fisherman on the fishing vessels “Warrior” and the “Settler”.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Soares will be Thursday April 21, 2005 at 11 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Church, New Bedford; Visiting hour will be prior to Funeral Mass Thursday April 21, 2005 from 9:30 A.M.. He will be buried will be at St. John Cemetery.
