Richard John Teixeira

New Bedford – Richard John Teixeira, age 34, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday July 2, 2015 at home. Mr. Texeira was a lifelong resident of New Bedford. He was the son of Donna Lee (Correia) and Bruce Teixeira.
Richard was a cook who worked at several local restaurants in the area. He is survived by one son Dennis Racine II of New Bedford; 2 siblings: Kevin Teixeira of New Bedford and Melissa Teixeira of Georgia, grandmother, Albertina Teixeira of Dartmouth and 1 niece and 1 nephew.
In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated. A memorial service will take place in the funeral home on Saturday July 18 from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family and will be greatly appreciated.
