Richard Bettencourt

Dartmouth – Richard Bettencourt, age 79 of New Bedford, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. He was the son of the late Barbara (Sylvia) and the late Joaquim Bettencourt.
Born in Dartmouth, Mr. Bettencourt spent all of his life in this area and worked as Truck Driver for JB and BB Trucking for many years until his retirement. Richard was an avid Patriots fan and loved his truck.
His family includes 6 children: Richard Bettencourt of Indiana, Kevin Bettencourt and his wife, Laurie, of New Bedford, Robin Bettencourt of New Bedford, Jay White, David White, and Katie White; 2 siblings: Mary Amaral and the late David Bettencourt; as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Bettencourt will be cremated and services are omitted. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, Ma 02740.
