Juvenalia M. (Cabral) Simas

Boston - Juvenalia M.(Cabral) Simas, age 34 years, died Tuesday, March 15, 2005, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Jose C. Simas of New Bedford. She was the mother of Melissa and Philip Simas both of New Bedford. Mrs. Simas was the sister of Ilda Carreiro wife of Humberto, and Mary Lou Medeiros wife of Jose both of New Bedford. She also leaves behind three nieces: Theresa, Diane and Stephanie, along with many aunts and uncles.

Mrs. Simas was born in Faial da Terra, Sao Miguel, Azores, the daughter of Antonio and Julieta (Casimiro) Cabral. She had moved to New Bedford area over 30 years ago and was a home-maker. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

Mrs. Simas' funeral will be Saturday, March 19, 2005, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rivet St., New Bedford at 9 A.M.; Interment at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Friday evening, March 18, 2005 from 6 - 9 P.M. at the funeral home.
