Roger L. Byrd

Roxbury-Roger L. Byrd of New Bedford died Friday February 25, 2005 at the Jewish Memorial Hospital. He was 57 years of age. He was the father of Kaman Minor of Hillsboro, CT. and Tracey Ferreira of Bridgeport, CT. He was the companion of Bettijean Andrade of New Bedford, MA.

Mr. Byrd was the son of the late Langston and Ruth (Brown) Byrd. He was born in Port Chester, New York, and has lived in this area the last 20+ years. Mr. Byrd was a caddie at some of the most private an exclusive golf clubs, such as Kattansett Country Club of Marion, Donald Trump’s Golf Facilities in Florida, just to mention a few.

In accordance with his wishes he was cremated, and a graveside service will be held at Putnam Cemetery in Putnam, CT., at a latter date.
