Antonio De Arruda

New Bedford – Antonio deArruda died Thursday February 9, 2005, at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of Maria deJesus (Santos) of New Bedford. Survivors include sons: Antonio M. Arruda and his wife Kelly of New Bedford, Francisco X Arruda and his wife Susana of New Bedford, Jose Carlos Arruda and his wife Angela a Daughter Maria Conceicao Arruda of New Bedford; 1 Sister Maria doCarmo Arruda of St. Michael, Azores. He is also survived by 7 Grandchildren. And Several Nieces and Nephews.

Mr, deArruda was the son of the late Antonio and Maria daTrinidade (Chibante) Arruda. He was employed at local landscaping company until his retirement. He loved plants, landscaping, fishing, and soccer

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday February 12, 2005 at 9:00A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rivet St. New Bedford. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Family and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be from 6-9 P.M., on Friday February 11, 2005 at Perry Funeral Home.
