New Bedford Ma- Kenneth W. Pires 55, died February 1, 2005, at St. Luke’s Hospital New Bedford. He was the Husband of Viola (Alves) Pina-Pires. He was the father of Kendallee Pires of New Bedford, two step children Tyron Pina and Chad Pina both of New Bedford. He was the father of the late Kenneth L. Pires. He was the brother of Sandra L. Pires, Marie Maciel, Christine Curhan-Pina all of New Bedford Ma, Micheal Pires of Taunton Ma, Glen Curhan of New Bedford Ma. He was the brother-in- law of Frank Pina, Jose Maciel, Paul Alves, Dan Alves. He was the Grand father of Jaleea. His the son-in-law Jared Medeiros. He was the nephew of Elsie Gracia and Madeline Pires, He had 3 Stepgrandchildren

. Mr. Pires was born in New Bedford Son of the late John C. Sylvia and Evelny C. (Pires) Santos. He was in the U.S Army and the Marines for the last 34 years. He just retired as a Staff Sergeant.He served in the Vietnam War. He was a former member of the Cape Verdean Vets of New Bedford.

The funeral Mass will be Saturday February 5, 2005,at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 A.M.. Family & friends are invited. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery, New Bedford, MA. Visiting Hours will be Friday February 4,2005, from 4-8. At Perry Funeral Home Inc. 111Dartmouth St. New Bedford Ma.
